Finding some purpose

Over the past week i decided that to stay positive in my time sans job i need to find a purpose in every day.  I realised that i was never going to wake up with a positive mindset if all that i could look forward to was going back to sleep at the end of the day.  Because of this I started this blog which will hopefully help me focus and find meaning and positivity in everyday situations.

I also endevour to start pet-sitting for all sorts of animals.  I realised that there were many dog walkers in my area but not many pet sitters for the more unusual types of animals that i have experience with, such as reptiles and amphibians.  So I’ve put a little local advert out which so far hasn’t garnered any interest but i guess that’s good because i really can’t do too much so too much interest would get me doing too much work.  I’m hoping that, slowly, i’ll get a few days where i’ll be doing light work for short amounts of time to try and get me used to working again.

Every day i’m also trying to do more useful things.  I’ve spent so much time just sitting in front of the television because i thought that was all i could do but I’ve been finding that there are more useful things i can do without expending too much energy or causing too much pain.  These involve sewing with my sewing machine, going short walks with my dog and trying some swimming.  I hope to keep the blog updated with how all these things go.
